BLOOMS

I love flowers and plants and have them all over the house, both indoors and outdoors. They really brighten up my day :)   This is one of my favourite, they are called Bunga Kantan or, Ginger flower or Torch Ginger bud.  It can be eaten raw as salad or cooked and normally one stalk will do. A trip to a local night market and I bought a few more, not for cooking but I just the colours and have them at home.

I am happy when my water lilies behave and bloom.

Can you see it? At one time, everyone was crazy over this 'bird' plant, so I had to get one too. Their flowers are shaped like birds.

I dont know the name of this plant but when it blooms, we have two flowers in one, in red and yellow.

Even my rose behaved :)

Happy week ahead !

Yes I do remember when there only used to be around 6-9 of us, (G included) that used to do sss, it has grown so big, I love to see what T is up to and so many old faces still doing sss. 3. What a beautiful collection of flowers! I love seeing the different varieties that grow in your part of the world. It took me a second to figure out the birds. I'd love to try the Ginger flower. Is that what it tastes like? Did you ever eat your rose petals or have them in tea?

  6. Beautiful flowers but what interested me was the local "night" market , how brilliant is that. Such a fab idea , is it because of the weather or is there another reason.

Hope all is well. my leg is recovering and healing , just as it should. xox
