Shadow Shot Sunday

This is for you T! I can't believe that I've stopped playing SSS for such a long time and remember when we played for the very first time...way back, only a hand few players. See, T...how your little project has grown!

I shot these with SSS in mind when I was in Jakarta. All shots taken from Jakarta Museum, Indonesia. This one very Balinese inspired.

Inside the musuem.

I have yet to see one of these performances either in Indonesia or Malaysia! A live wayang kulit or puppet shadow show!

Pop over to http://www.heyharriet.blogspot.com/ to see some of the coolest shadow around the world!

Happy Sunday everyone :)

  6. Hello M.Kate, isn't it funny how even when not playing SSS it is still with you, I think Tracy has ingrained it in us!! I have a mile of shots in the archives that have been taken for SSS and just haven't gotten around to posting them. These are fabulous shots, the first one looks like a very interesting place to be, lots of colour and beautiful sculptures. Have a happy Sunday M.Kate (folding the washing LOL!!) bfn. Ax:0)

  10. Ooh you've joined in this week! How cool M! Love these shots! Yes I do remember when we started shooting shadows & there was only a handful of us. It's nice that so many have embraced the whole shadow shootin' craziness that we kicked off way back when :)

I hope you've been enjoying your weekend so far. Sucks that our weekend is almost over. Our American friends are only half way through theirs at the time of typing this!

  15. Fabulous shadows. Jakarta must be beautiful, but you found just the right shadows to photograph.
I've been thinking about a DSLR, too, but you're right, it's bulky and heavy and I would probably shake too much, so I'd need a tripod...
    LOL
Thank you for visiting my blog. I will continue to take pictures as long as I can, and am grateful to have my husband taking some for me!!
